After busting a Folsom man for allegedly selling crack cocaine Wednesday afternoon, members of the St. Tammany Parish Narcotics Task Force posed as drug dealers and ended up arresting eight others for attempted possession of narcotics.

According to St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office spokesman, Capt. George Bonnett, task force agents executed a search warrant on the house of Alfred Treadwell, 51, 12490 Joseph’s Road, Folsom. During the search, agents found a small amount of crack cocaine, several Hydrocodone pills and $1,061 in cash.

Also at the house was Jesse Brown, 47, also of Folsom.

Treadwell was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, two counts of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance and two counts of possession of a Schedule IV CDS.

Brown was arrested on an outstanding warrant for non-payment of $7,000 in child support.

After Treadwell and Brown were taken to jail, the agents then pretended to be drug dealers, and sold fake crack cocaine to eight other people who came to the house looking to buy drugs.

By midnight, the task force had arrested everybody with the bogus cocaine, and the police also seized three vehicles.

The eight other arrested were, Michael McDanell, 40, 8022 N. Willie Road, Folsom, charged with attempted possession of crack cocaine, possession of a Schedule III CDS and possession of a Schedule IV CDS; Jason Sharp, 26, 16262 Hezzie Lloyd Road, Folsom, attempted possession of crack cocaine and an outstanding warrant for domestic battery; Stewart Garrett, 48, 11384 Willie Garrett Road, Folsom, attempted possession of crack cocaine; Ted Williams, 51, 11717 Williams Road, Franklinton, attempted possession of crack cocaine; Terrie McDanell, 34, 80221 N. Highway 40, Folsom, attempted possession of crack cocaine; Regina Rainey, 52, 11717 Williams Road, Franklinton, principal to the attempted possession of crack cocaine; Jessica Sharp, 18, 16103 Ed Revere Road, Folsom, attempted possession of crack cocaine and Amanda Buras, 23, 84082 Factory Road, Folsom, attempted possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine.

The St. Tammany Parish Task Force is comprised of members of the STPSO and the Mandeville Police Department.
