School Board candidates forum set

The League of Women Voters of St. Tammany is sponsoring a School Board Candidates Forum at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Parish Council Administrative Building in the Council Chambers, 21490 Koop Drive in Mandeville. All school board candidates have been invited to participate, and the public is encouraged to attend.

Attendees will have an opportunity to submit written questions to the candidates. Attendees are also asked to bring a bag of nonperishable food to donate to the Covington Food Bank.

In addition to attending the forum, voters are encouraged to visit the League’s Web site, www.lwvst.info, to review the Voter Guide for School Board Candidates. For more information, contact League President Sandra Slifer, 875-9388.
