Helen Sarrat Schindler, 83, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010. She was a native of New Orleans, and a resident of Covington for the past 23 years.

She was the beloved wife of the late George F. Schindler Jr.; mother of George F. Schindler III (Denise B.) and David G. Schindler (Paula D.); grandmother of George F. Schindler IV and Mary Michel Schindler; and sister of Marguerite Roach and the late Marie Haydée Carambat, Audrey Farrell, Allan, George and Walter J. Sarrat.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at noon tomorrow at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment is in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations may be made to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 S.
