The marriage of Carrie Dale Atwater and Eric Gordon Christiansen was celebrated Saturday, June 26, 2010, at a 6:30 p.m. ceremony at the Fleur de Lis Event Center in Mandeville.

The bride is the daughter of Connie and David Atwater of Covington. The bridesgroom is the son of Paul and Andrea Christiansen of Mandeville.

The bride attended Covington High School and SLU. She is employed by Walgreen’s as a pharmacy tech.

The matron of honor was Jennifer Smith, and the maid of honor was Tracy Wissing. Bridesmaids were Meagan Ginter, Bettie Eberts and Nique Bourque.

The groom is a graduate of Oviedo (Florida) High School and College of the Mainland in Texas, where he trained as a firefighter. He received further training as an EMT from the U.S. Navy, where he was a petty officer first class, serving as an E4 hospital corpsman.

John Christiansen was best man. Groomsmen were Nick Bruno, Patrick Schwaner, John Matthews and Matt McMahon. Nick Stanfield served as usher escorting the groom’s grandmother, Violet Merian, and great-grandmother, Marguerite Tapalzian. The bride’s mother was escorted by Chris Atwater.
