Maxine Newman passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at the age of 80. She is survived by her children, Linda Joyce Hansen, Beverly Kay Frosch, Mack Edward Newman, Charles Lee Newman and Mary Beth Kaizer; four brothers; three sisters; and her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.E. Newman; her parents, Mack Oatsvall and John and Dovie Horton. She was a native of Hardin County, Tenn., and a resident of Mandeville for the past 40 years.

Funeral services were held yesterday from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington. Interment was in the Mandeville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Newman be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., or the First Baptist Church of Lacombe Building Fund.
