Two teens arrested, two sought invehicle burglaries

Mandeville Police detectives, in conjunction with the St Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office have arrested two teenagers and issued warrants for the arrests of two more in connection with a rash of vehicle burglaries in the Mandeville area.

Nineteen-year-old Brandon Rimkus of Abita Springs and 18-year-old Weston Stephens of Covington have each been charged with one count of vehicle burglary.

Warrants have been issued for the arrests of 17-year-old Rick Sheridan of Mandeville and a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with this case.

The information leading up to the arrests was obtained as a result of interrogations conducted by the Sheriff’s Office.

Eric Guilino with Mandeville Police said law enforcement personnel from both departments are working together to determine exactly how many burglaries these individuals were involved in as they are investigating several incidents, at least one of which happened inside city limits.
