Hannan downs St. Helena Central

Archbishop Hannan’s Hawks baseball defeated St. Helena Central 9-2 Thursday to improve to 5-1 at press time. St. Helena jumped on top with two runs in the top of the first, but Hannan responded with three runs in the home half aided by three St. Helena errors along with hits by Ben Condon and Joey LaRocca. Hannan erupted for five runs in the second inning on hits by Logan Booksh, Andrew Arceneaux and Condon along with a run producing sacrifice fly by Stuart Seiler.

Hannan’s Condon went 2-3 with two runs batted in and Arceneaux collected two hits with an RBI. Booksh also produced two hits for the victorious Hawks.

St. Helena Central’s Gemel Washington went 2-2 with an RBI and Ron Thomas was 2-3.

Hannan’s Christian Clark (2-0) started and got the win. Benny Warner (0-1) started and took the loss for St. Helena.
