Doug Jeansonne, 67, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Evi Jeansonne for the past 42 years; father of Kristina Jeansonne Braud and husband Mark and Jean-Pierre Jeansonne and wife Kristina; son of the late Harold and Bernice Jeansonne; brother of Nancy Jeansonne Webre and the late Harold Michael Jeansonne Jr. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Christopher Douglas Jeansonne, Brianna Elizabeth Jeansonne, Alyssa Nicole Jeansonne and Noelle Elisabeth Braud.

He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for the past 20 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. After living overseas for many years, Doug settled in Slidell where he began the business of Pools ‘N Stuff. Doug was a wonderful husband and father who will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at 3 p.m. Thursday at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. W. (in Forest Lawn Cemetery) Slidell. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Donations to The Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org is preferred in lieu of flowers.
