James E. Anderson, 58, of Carriere, Miss., passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in Slidell.

He was the beloved husband of Teresa W. Anderson since 2003; father of Derek A. Anderson of Jackson, Miss.; stepfather of Jason R. Delatte and wife Aubrey and Jacqueline M. Delatte; son of the late Elmer and Mildred Anderson; and brother of Bruce and Bill Anderson. He is also survived by one grandchild, Jalynn Delatte.

He was a native of Greensburg, Pa., and a resident of Picayune and Slidell area for the past 35 years. He was a retired NASA employee of John C. Stennis Space Center after 31 years of service.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. W. (in Forest Lawn Cemetery) Slidell. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at www.michaeljfox.org is preferred in lieu of flowers.
