It takes place at the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Administrative Building, 300 Brownswitch Road, Slidell, with registration beginning at 9 a.m. and the pull at 10 a.m.

The fund-raiser features teams of 10 individuals pulling a truck weighing approximately 42,000 lbs. for 12 feet.

Each will be competing for fastest team, slowest team, and best-dressed team. The entry fee is $50 per person or $500 per team.

Please consider attending Fleur-De-Lis Relief this Sunday from noon ‘til 4 p.m. at Slidell Heritage Park. The fund-raiser is being co-sponsored by the City of Slidell, East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, and East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity to benefit the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. All of the proceeds will go directly the Haiti to assist with food, water, shelter, medicine and education.

Local businesses will be providing a variety of food, drinks, games for the kids, and more.

Plus there’ll be live entertainment by Misty Marshall & the Moon Pie King (Bernie Cyrus), Nic Dante’ & DJ Quest, and Bobby Cure & the Summertime Blues Band.

This is our opportunity to give back, in dedication to all of the relief workers that helped us rebuild after Hurricane Katrina.

We have been there, we understand. Please help if you can.

Got questions? Phone the chamber office at 643-5678.
