STP Republican party renames awards for the late Gov. Treen
At its regular monthly meeting last week, the St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee elected to rename its “Top Man of the Year” Award to the “Dave Treen Award” in memory of Louisiana’s first Republican governor since Reconstruction. The committee also renamed its “Top Woman of the Year” Award to the “Anne Barnes Award” in memory of its first recipient and lifetime honorary member of the RPEC.
