Detectives from the Louisiana State Police Troop L have arrested a Covington man on 75 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles.

According to Troop L Spokesman, Trooper Nick Manale, detectives went to the home of James A. Wager, 30, of Covington armed with a search warrant, after an investigation that stemmed from Operation Child Watch. Inside Wager’s home, detectives found Wager downloading child pornography on his computer. State Police detectives also found 75 different computer files all that contained images of the sexual abuse of pre-pubescnet children.

Manale said that police also found a young girl living in the house, in unsanitary conditions. Manale said the house was littered with trash and lots of dog feces on the floor.

Detectives call the Office of Child Services, who came and took the girl away. Manale said that there was no evidence of sexual abuse involving the child, or that she was involved in what Wager was doing.

“It was just an unhealthy and unsanitary conditions for her to be there,” Manale said. Wager was arrested on 75 charges of child pornography and booked into the St. Tammany Jail.
