The Slidell Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a woman who is a suspect in a credit card theft that happened Oct. 1.

Slidell police spokesman Capt. Kevin Foltz said a Pearl River woman reported to police her car had been broken into and her wallet had been stolen. Police said that the woman’s car was unlocked, and her purse had been sitting on the front seat at the time of the theft. The wallet, a large black clutch type, contained several credit cards, the woman’s driver’s license and a small amount of cash.

The victim called the credit card companies to cancel the cards, but learned that one of the cards had already been used at the Walgreen’s drugstore on Front Street.

The woman in this Walgreen’s surveillance video is wanted for questioning by Slidell police.

Detectives were able to get surveillance video from the store and were able to pinpoint when the suspect entered the store. The suspect is described as heavy set and wearing flowered medical scrubs.

Anyone with any information on the theft or the suspect should call Detective Seuzeneau at 768-7421.
