St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on Lake Road at 6 p.m. on Oct. 15 in response to an altercation.
According to reports from witnesses at the home, two brothers, 31-year-old Woodrow Parker and 25-year-old Brandon Parker, had came to the residence, which is where Brandon Parker’s ex-girlfriend lived with her newborn baby and other family members.

During the fight, Woodrow Parker reportedly struck the infant and then pushed the ex-girlfriend’s grandmother down. Brandon Parker then reportedly struck his ex-girlfriend. Both brothers fled to their own home at 27447 St. Louis Road, Lacombe, before police arrived.
The baby and grandmother were brought to Louisiana Heart Hospital, where they were checked out for injuries and released.
Deputies found the men at their residence.
Woodrow Parker was arrested and charged with second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and simple battery of the infirmed. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail, where he was also booked on two contempt of court charges.
Brandon Parker, who has a medical condition and undergoes dialysis regularly, was issued a summons for domestic battery but was not booked into the jail.
