According to police a surveillance video camera at the entrance to the subdivision recorded an older model teal green Ford Expedition stop at the entrance sometime between 9 and 10 p.m. Aug. 27.
A woman gets out of the passenger side of the truck and starts to walk away, when the male driver gets out, grabs the woman and begins to beat her. Detectives said the truck was driving north on La. 1077 before it stopped and looked like it was being driven in a reckless manner.

As it passes the Ford Expedition, the man from the Ford Expedition forces the woman back into the vehicle, and took off going north.
Covington detectives suspect that the people in the light-colored truck may have been victims of road rage, following the beating of the woman.
“We believe the man chased the light-colored truck,” Covington police spokesman Capt. Jack West said.
He added that the man in the Ford Expedition has already been detained, but would not give any details.
The Covington police are asking the occupants of the light-colored truck to contact them so the issue can be resolved.
They can call Detective Bart Ownby at 892-8500 or 898-2647.
