According to Slidell police, the robber entered the restaurant around 8:30 p.m. and pointed a handgun at the employees demanding they open the cash registers and hand over the money. After grabbing the cash, the suspect asked for a bag to put the money in, and an employee gave the robber a white paper bag, and a plastic salad bag. The suspect then left the store and was last seen heading south on Pontchartrain Drive.
The suspect is described as an older Caucasian man of unknown age. He is between 6-foott two and 6-foot three inches tall. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with a dark design on it and a red baseball cap with a white symbol on the front. The robbery was also caught on the restaurant’s video surveillance camera and can be seen on the St. Tammany News Web site, www.thesttammanynews.com.
