A motorcycle accident on Interstate 12 near the St. Tammany/Tangipahoa Parish border snarled traffic Thursday morning but caused no injuries, State Police said.

Parts of the right lane were blocked about 8:30 a.m. as State Police cleaned the area after the motorcycle rammed the back of a black SUV.

The motorcycle driver, age and name unreleased, spun out of control and crashed. He somehow avoided major injuries and refused aid at the scene, State Police said.

The driver of the SUV, make and model also not released, was unaware it was hit and kept driving, said State Police.
