A Madisonville woman arrested last month for firing a shotgun blast at her daughter’s ex-boyfriend was arrested again Monday for allegedly burning down her former house.

Anthonia Montairo Catoire-Miller, 33, was out on bond when she was arrested and charged with simple arson for setting the home at 5 Hester Drive on fire about 1:30 p.m., Bonnett said.

No one was home at the time, and as of Tuesday morning, Sheriff’s Office investigators were still unsure of the motive, Bonnett said.

Witnesses reported Catoire-Miller pulled up the house, darted inside and fled the scene a few minutes later.

“Shortly thereafter the house was on fire,” Bonnett said. Flames quickly engulfed the home. Within minutes it was gutted, just as Fire Protection District 2 doused the blaze, he said.

Sheriff’s Office deputies familiar with Catoirie-Miller from her October drive-by shooting arrest quickly found her at her new home a few houses away at 7 Hester Drive, Bonnett said.

When questioned, she allegedly confessed to the arson, Bonnett said. But on Tuesday morning, investigators, including the U.S. Fire Marshal’s Service and firemen from Fire Protection Districts 2 and 13 were still searching for its origins.

Last month the woman was charged with attempted second-degree murder when she and her three teenage children drove past her 16-year-old’s ex-boyfriend in the Kathmann Estates subdivision off Louisiana Highway 22.

She slammed the minivan in reverse, backed up 200 yards and unloaded one .410 shotgun blast at the teenager standing on the corner with friends, authorities said.

She was about 20 feet away, but missed her target. Nobody was injured.

When deputies tried to arrest her she resisted, and she eventually was subdued with a Taser after she knocked out a patrol car’s window, Bonnett said.

In addition to the attempted murder charge, she was charged with simple criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, taking contraband to and from a penal institution and on two contempt of court warrants. She was released on an $83,000 bond.

" Unbelievable that this woman is back on the streets after all she has done, when she does kill someone or hurts someone with her dangerous tatics, then the police will say "oh my how did that happen" duh! "
