NCS’ Lady Wolverines swept Reserve Christian, 25-13, 25-3, 25-19, Tuesday on the road to remain unbeaten in district play. NCS (14-4) moved to 7-0 in district action. NCS was shorthanded in the match due to injuries and illness. Hannah Miranda stepped up putting together a strong all around match with 12 assists, eight kills, eight digs and six aces to lead the Lady Wolverines to victory. Sophomores Angela Barrios and Megan Steele added five kills each. Freshman Mary Wilson finished with 12 assists. Eighth grader Jess Himel was credited with 10 digs. Freshman Caitlyn Anderson had five aces.
FHS sweeps

Fontainebleau swept Northshore, 25-9, 25-15, 25-13, Tuesday at home. FHS (23-2) remained unbeaten in district play at 9-0, heading into yesterday’s match with Covington. NHS (7-13) was 4-5 in district play.
Lindsey Barron delivered 14 kills with seven digs. Michelle Cabeceiras netted 13 assists, seven digs and five aces. McCrea Barney led FHS with 15 assists. Amanda Schneck contributed six kills and four aces, while Jessica Guttierrez came through with six digs, five kills and two aces. Haley Bonneval finished with five kills and three blocks. Caitlyn Auxilien totaled seven digs and Sarah Ulm had two blocks.
NHS’ Blair Doiron had five digs and four assists. Catie Bates recorded five digs with a pair of blocks. Richelle Saluga posted seven assists and three digs.
SSA downs Hammond
SSA swept the Hammond Lady Tornadoes Tuesday, 25-7, 25-19, 25-16, in district play at SSA. SSA (17-5) upped their record to 6-3 and were in third going into yesterday’s match with Slidell. Kristi Harrison and Christina Wurm combined for 20 kills, 10 each leading to victory. Senior libero Sam Delahoussaye was credited with nine digs and six aces.
Audrey Gitz delivered 20 assists and Meghan Clark added 12. Sarah Bagley netted one block.
