Residents near and far will soon have the honor of traveling back in time and exploring the rich history of Mandeville, St. Tammany’s second largest city, thanks to a documentary airing tonight on WYES-TV Channel 12.

Hosted by acclaimed actor John “Spud” McConnell, “Mandeville the Good Life,” will debut at 7 p.m. with repeats airing July 20 at 10:30 p.m., Aug. 15 at 11 p.m. and Aug. 17 at 12:15 p.m.

The 30-minute program will feature interviews with local historian and President of the Louisiana Historical Society Sally K. Reeves, fourth great-grandson of Bernard de Marigny, William de Marigny Hyland, Mayor Eddie Price and many other local names historically connected to Mandeville.

The Emmy award-winning team at Digital Bayou HD Productions, working in cooperation with Past Forward, a Deep South exhibit design company, locally produced the program.
