Covington High graduate Mark Drube, who was a team captain and played golf all four years at CHS, will be attending Meridian Community College in Meridian, Miss.

Drube’s all-time low round was a 70, which he shot at Gemstone Plantation Country Club in Franklinton. Drube said the best part of his golf game is his driving averaging about 280 yards off the tee.

Tim Hogan, the Money Hill Golf and Country Club director of golf, described Drube as a talented young golfer.

“Mark is a great young man with lots of talent,” Hogan said. “He has a very consistent, compact golf swing. It will be great to see him perform in junior college for the next two years with the opportunity to take his game to another level,” Hogan added.
