Slidell graduate Shad de St. Germain made the District 7-5A first-team for the Tigers. He led off and played mostly center field and got some innings on the mound for Slidell. In district, de St. Germain batted .409 with 13 RBIs and stole 12 bases. This summer, he is playing American Legion for Thomas Pump and batting second, helping provide a speedy one-two punch at the top of the order with Nathan Reis.

Home One Homes (Northlake Christian School) found itself in a must win situation Tuesday in American Legion East Division play, and took care of business on the road. Home One Homes squared off first with Thomas Pump (Slidell High) to complete an earlier season game from June 3 played at NCS that was called due to darkness with the score tied 4-4 after eight innings. It was agreed between the coaches, the completion game would be held at the Fontainebleau Bone Yard before the division regular season ending game between Home One Homes and Hood Northlake Chevrolet (Fontainebleau High).

Bradley captures PGA championship
Mandeville High School incoming freshman golfer Elise Bradley captured the Gulf States Junior PGA Championship July 1-2 at Copper Mill Golf Club in Zachary. Bradley, a 14-year-old, who graduated from Lake Castle Private School in Madisonville, fired a seven under par 137 total, finishing nine strokes ahead of Mandeville’s Jinjutha Noibanchong. Bradley, competing in the 13-18 year-old category, fashioned an opening round four under par 68 on Monday with five birdies and just one bogey. The bogey occurred on the par 5, 18th hole. Bradley finished with a three-under par 69 on Tuesday including five birdies and two bogeys. By virtue of her victory, Bradley qualifies for the National Junior PGA Championship to be held next month in Ohio.
