Bellisario to host meetings with residents preceding council meetings

St. Tammany Parish District 9 Councilman Gene Bellisario will host a community meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday in the cafeteria of Boyet Junior High School on Rebel Drive off Pearl Street.

Bellisario will discuss the following items:

• Status of the Two Lakes Project in Jackson, Miss.

• Update on starting dates for 2008 capital projects.

• Update on the turning lane at North Military and Brownswitch Road.

• Public input on proposed Home Rule Charter changes.

• Update on the Brownswitch Drainage District.

• Update on changes to Lighting District No. 9.

• Update on the proposed Garbage District No. 1, slated for an adoption vote July 3rd.

• Drainage issues in various areas.

• Comprehensive rezoning plan

• Other issues or concerns
