Parish Council fills board vacancies

Parish Council members recently filled vacancies on several area boards, including two fire and recreational districts.

Council members approved a resolution to reappoint Leo Casnave, Sorola J. Palmer, Dewey Spies and John Dussouy, whose terms expired, to the Fire Protection District 3 board in Lacombe.

In Pearl River, John J. Brady, Billy Ray Duncan, Richard Singletary and James D. Scroggins were reappointed to the Fire Protection District 7 board.

Board members for Recreational District 1 and District 5 were also each appointed or reappointed.

District 1 members Rick Danileson, Steven Meyer, Bill Matthews, Anthony Oramous and Todd Richard were reappointed.

For District 5, new members Andrew Failla and Phyllis Delpugit were appointed to the board, alongside Peter Finger, who was reappointed.

Council members also reappointed Peter Link to the Board of Trustees for the St. Tammany Parish Finance Authority for a three-year term.
