Covington City Council to get zoning update

The comprehensive zoning ordinance update on the first round of meetings that were held will be given by planner Steve Villvaso at the regular meeting of the Covington City Council on Tuesday April 1.

Other business the council will consider includes an update on condemnations and demolitions, the swearing in of charter commission members and updates on street overlays and sewage plant sludge removal.

Included in the meeting is a public hearing on the proposed ordinance controlling parades, festivals and other special events and an amendment to the city budget to appropriate funds for lease of a copy machine for the City Council office.

The public is invited to attend the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at 212 W. 17th St., Covington.
