School Board honors its student musicians

Students named to the Louisiana Music Educators Association All-State bands and orchestras were honored along with the American Choral Directors Association state and regional choirs recently at the St. Tammany Parish School Board meeting.

Members of the LMEA All-State Choir and their respective schools are: Fontainebleau High — Miranda Berlin, Lindsey Boren, Erin Harris, Rene Helluin, Alyssa Marr, Becca Milligan and John Song; Mandeville High — Anna Kennemer; Northshore High — Jordan Leggett; and Slidell High — Jessica Singletary.

Members named to the LMEA All-State Orchestra are: Fontainebleau High — Madeline Massett and Ryan Rome; Mandeville High — Ulises Alvarez and Charlie Cox; Northshore High — Trigg Burrage, Megan Comeaux and Justin Wang; and Slidell High —Ellen Goertzen and Wesley Mannino.

Members of the LMEA All-State Symphonic Band include: Fontainebleau High — Beau Henderson, Yumin Jeon and Nnamdi Udeh; Northshore High — Sean Bramley and Michael Doss; and Slidell High — Erin Johnson and Brooke Trabona.

The LMEA All-State Concert Band will include: Covington High — Matthew Haskins; Fontainebleau High — Ben Greenwalt and Ben Lyon; and Northshore High — Jennifer Beyer, Katie Duckett, Sarah Ray and Nathan Backes.

The LMEA All-State Jazz Ensemble will include: Covington High — David Gambino; Fontainebleau High — Patrick Mongrue; Mandeville High — Brian Buisson; Northshore High — Joshua Nethken; and Mandeville High — Neal Endermann.

Members of the American Choral Directors Association Louisiana State Honor Choir include: Covington High — Meagan Hefte, Amelia Robert, Mary Malbrough, Stephanie Raborn and Deangelo Renard.

The St. Tammany member of the ACDA Southern Regional Honor Choir will be Covington High School’s Ani Sipos.

All of the musicians and singers will perform with their respective groups later this spring.
